ML Engineer (Part-time, Remote)

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python is essential.
• Strong knowledge and experience in building recommendation systems (e.g., content-based filtering, collaborative filtering).
• Solid understanding of MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions).
• Experience in designing and implementing systems that analyze and process text-based data for insights and recommendations.
• At least 3 years of commercial experience working with machine learning systems.

Your Role:

• Collaborate with the core development and product teams to design and implement machine learning models for content recommendation.
• Build and maintain systems that analyze text-based information to understand user preferences and behavior.
• Develop scalable and efficient solutions for deploying machine learning models in production.
• Review and optimize the existing codebase, suggesting and implementing improvements where necessary.
• Work on integration with Firebase and other GCP services for seamless platform functionality.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Knowledge of coding algorithms, including data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience with server-side solutions and integration.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in natural language processing (NLP) for content analysis.
• Knowledge of Next.js and React.js for collaborative projects with the web development team.
• Prior experience in building and maintaining hybrid recommendation systems (e.g., combining content-based and collaborative methods).
