â–¼ Can I highlight PDFs on iOS and Android?
Yes! The Glasp mobile app supports PDF highlighting on iOS and Android. You can upload local PDF files from your device and highlight them in the app, and web-hosted PDFs work the same as on desktop. One exception: for privacy, Glasp stays off sensitive sites such as sign-in, banking, government, and health pages, so a PDF hosted on one of those will not open in the Reader.
â–¼ Can I highlight images on iOS and Android?
Yes. Image highlighting is available in the Glasp mobile app on both iOS and Android, so you can mark up what you see, not just what you read. Long-press an image on any page to highlight it, in both the Reader and the Safari extension, and image highlights you made in the browser extension show up on mobile too. Make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

â–¼ Do I have to paste a URL every time? (Feed)
No. The Feed tab brings new posts to you, so you do not have to copy a link into the app each time.
- YouTube channels: Follow the channels you watch and the Feed lists their latest videos, with a link to view the channel.
- Newsletters and blogs: Add them by URL, or pick from a starter pack. You get a clean, chronological feed with
PopularandArchivedviews, and you can bookmark or archive any post and filter by source. - On your home screen: Add the Glasp Feed widget to see the newest items without opening the app. On iOS you can also add it to the Lock Screen.

â–¼ Can I ask AI about a page or video in the app?
Yes. The Reader has a Chat action next to Summary, and the in-app YouTube reader has a Chat tab next to Transcript and Summary.
- Pick how deep to go: Fast, Balanced, or Deep, the same choice as the browser extension. Your choice is remembered, and credits are counted the same way.
- It is the same conversation: Chat is tied to the page, so the thread you start on your phone is the one you see on the web and in the extension.
- Start quickly, clear it later: Starter prompts get you going, each reply can be copied, and Delete conversation lives in the three dot menu.

â–¼ Can I import from Readwise or Raindrop inside the app?
Yes. Go to Add, then Import. These run inside the app, so you do not need to open glasp.co:
- Readwise, Hypothesis, Instapaper, Medium, and Snipd: Connect the service and your highlights come across.
- Raindrop.io: Connect your account, then tap Sync Now. New highlights also sync automatically once a day.
Kindle highlights are imported from Kindle Cloud Reader on a desktop browser, and they show up in the app once they are in your library.
â–¼ Can I read articles without the clutter on mobile?
Yes. Open a page in the app and switch to Reader View to strip out the navigation, banners, and other clutter, then highlight what you want to keep. It works on any article you open in the app.
â–¼ Can Glasp suggest what to highlight?
Yes. Open a page's Highlight tab and tap Suggest highlights.
- Where the suggestions come from: Passages other readers highlighted on the same page, or AI-picked ones when there are not enough.
- On YouTube: It suggests timestamped moments from the transcript instead of passages.
- You stay in control: Accept the ones you like and dismiss the rest. Undo is there if you change your mind.
â–¼ Can I highlight a YouTube transcript on my phone?
Yes. Open a video in the app and go to its transcript.
- Highlight it like any text: Select a line and pick a color. Tapping a timestamp seeks the video to that moment.
- Pick the transcript language: You can choose which language the transcript is shown in.
- Find it again later: Highlights you make on a video show the timestamp in mm:ss in your Highlights list.
â–¼ Can I use the app in my language?
Yes, in two separate places, both under Settings.
- The app itself: The interface is localized in seven languages, the same set as the browser extension.
- Your AI summaries: Summary Language sets the language your summaries are written in. It is synced with the web and the extension, so you set it once.
â–¼ Does tapping a Glasp video link open the app?
Yes. On a Glasp YouTube summary page, tapping Open in the Glasp app hands the video to the app and opens it on the transcript, with Summary and Chat one tap away.
On iOS this needs a recent version of the app for the link to be claimed. On Android it works through Play's app links.
