Yes, we offer apps for both iOS and Android.

โผ Is there a Safari extension for iPhone and iPad?
Yes. The Glasp iOS app includes a Safari extension, so you can highlight in Safari without switching to the app.
- Turn it on once: In Safari, tap the
aAbutton in the address bar, thenManage Extensions, and switch onGlasp Extension. - What you get in the page: A Glasp button opens a panel with Highlights, Summary, Chat, and Community. Highlight, tag, add a note, ask about the page, or see what other readers marked, all without leaving Safari.
- It follows your app account: The button shows even before you sign in, and signing in or out of the app does the same to the extension.
- Where it stays off: For privacy, the extension does not activate on sign-in, banking, tax, and health pages. See Trouble Shooting for details.
The Safari extension is iOS only. On Android, open the page in the app's Reader instead.

โผ Can I save an article from the share sheet?
Yes. Glasp adds itself to the iOS share sheet, so you can save a page from Safari, Chrome, or any app that can share a link.
- Share it: On the page, tap
Share, chooseGlasp, thenSave. The first time, you may need to tapMoreandEditto add Glasp to the list. - Find it in the app: Open Glasp and pull down to refresh. The saved page appears in your list, ready to read and highlight.
- Prefer to highlight right there? Use the Safari extension instead of the share sheet. It lets you highlight on the page without leaving Safari.
โผ Can I use YouTube Summary on iOS and Android?
Yes. You can use the YouTube Summary feature with the Glasp iOS and Android app. The Free plan includes basic YouTube summaries (3 per day), and the Pro and Unlimited plans add unlimited basic summaries plus advanced summaries.
Please see the tutorial:

โผ Can I highlight PDFs on iOS and Android?
Yes! The Glasp mobile app supports PDF highlighting on iOS and Android. You can upload local PDF files from your device and highlight them in the app, and web-hosted PDFs work the same as on desktop. One exception: for privacy, Glasp stays off sensitive sites such as sign-in, banking, tax, and health pages, so a PDF hosted on one of those will not open in the Reader. Public government pages, such as reports and legislation, are not blocked.
โผ Can I read my Kindle highlights in the app?
Yes. Import your Kindle highlights once on the web, from Kindle Cloud Reader with the Glasp browser extension, and they appear under the Kindle tab on your profile in the app, alongside the rest of your library.
- Import on a computer, read anywhere: The import itself runs in a desktop browser. After that, every book and highlight syncs to the app automatically, the same as your web highlights.
- Bring in new books the same way: Run the import again on the web whenever you finish a book. Only new highlights are added, so you will not get duplicates.
โผ Can I highlight images on iOS and Android?
Yes. Image highlighting is available in the Glasp mobile app on both iOS and Android, so you can mark up what you see, not just what you read. Long-press an image on any page to highlight it, in both the Reader and the Safari extension, and image highlights you made in the browser extension show up on mobile too. Make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

โผ Do I have to paste a URL every time? (Feed)
No. Everything you follow arrives on Home, so you do not have to copy a link into the app each time. Home has five tabs: Feed, Following, Channels, Topics, and Picks. Long-press a tab to reorder them, and Home opens on whichever you put first.
- Feed: The newsletters, blogs, and YouTube channels you follow, in one chronological list. Add a source by URL or from a starter pack. Filter by
Recent,For You, orPopular, and by source. Posts you archive live under the gear. - Channels: The latest videos from the YouTube channels you follow. If your plan shows fewer channels than you follow, the tab tells you.
- Topics and Picks: Topics shows what other Glasp readers highlighted under subjects you choose. Picks is a hand-curated shelf that rotates daily.
- On your home screen: The Feed widget shows new items without opening the app. See the widget question below.
๐ How to Use the Glasp Mobile App on iOS, iPad, and Android
โผ Is there a home screen widget?
Yes. Add the Glasp Feed widget to your home screen to see the latest videos from the channels you follow without opening the app. Tap one to open it.
On iOS you can also add a Lock Screen widget. It shows the newest video at a glance, and the home screen widget keeps the full list with thumbnails.
โผ Can I ask AI about a page or video in the app?
Yes. The Reader has a Chat action next to Summary, and the in-app YouTube reader has a Chat tab next to Transcript and Summary.
- Pick how deep to go: Fast, Balanced, or Deep, the same choice as the browser extension. Your choice is remembered, and credits are counted the same way.
- It is the same conversation: Chat is tied to the page, so the thread you start on your phone is the one you see on the web and in the extension.
- Start quickly, clear it later: Starter prompts get you going, each reply can be copied, and Delete conversation lives in the three dot menu.

โผ Can I import from Readwise or Raindrop inside the app?
Yes. Go to Add, then Import. These run inside the app, so you do not need to open glasp.co:
- Readwise, Hypothesis, Instapaper, Medium, and Snipd: Connect the service and your highlights come across.
- Raindrop.io: Connect your account, then tap Sync Now. New highlights also sync automatically once a day.
Kindle highlights are imported from Kindle Cloud Reader on a desktop browser, and they show up in the app once they are in your library.
โผ Can I read articles without the clutter on mobile?
Yes. Open a page in the app and switch to Reader View to strip out the navigation, banners, and other clutter, then highlight what you want to keep. It works on any article you open in the app.
โผ Can Glasp suggest what to highlight?
Yes. Open a page's Highlight tab and tap Suggest highlights.
- Where the suggestions come from: Passages other readers highlighted on the same page, or AI-picked ones when there are not enough.
- On YouTube: It suggests timestamped moments from the transcript instead of passages.
- You stay in control: Accept the ones you like and dismiss the rest. Undo is there if you change your mind.
โผ Can I highlight a YouTube transcript on my phone?
Yes. Open a video in the app and go to its transcript.
- Highlight it like any text: Select a line and pick a color. Tapping a timestamp seeks the video to that moment.
- Pick the transcript language: You can choose which language the transcript is shown in.
- Find it again later: Highlights you make on a video show the timestamp in mm:ss in your Highlights list.
โผ Can I use the app in my language?
Yes, in two separate places, both under Settings.
- The app itself: The interface is available in seven languages, the same set as the browser extension: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean.
- Your AI summaries: Summary Language sets the language your summaries are written in, with 51 languages to choose from or Auto to match the content. It is synced with the web and the extension, so you set it once.
โผ Does tapping a Glasp video link open the app?
Yes. On a Glasp YouTube summary page, tapping Open in the Glasp app hands the video to the app and opens it on the transcript, with Summary and Chat one tap away.
On iOS this needs a recent version of the app for the link to be claimed. On Android it works through Play's app links.
